Description: The invention relates to a front door, in particular an insect protection door, comprising four frame profiles connected to a rectangular shape, a horizontally extending rung profile connecting the two vertically running, opposite frame profiles, and a step protection plate closing the distance between the rung profile and the lower, horizontally running frame profile ,
Such a front door, which is usually designed as an insect screen, regularly consists of four frame profiles connected to a rectangular shape, usually metal profiles, mostly extruded aluminum profiles. These are connected to one another via corresponding corner connecting elements in the area of their right-angled or mitred corners. In particular in the case of somewhat larger front doors or frames, a rung profile is provided, which is usually arranged horizontally and extends from one vertical frame profile to the opposite vertical frame profile. It is fastened to the two vertical frame profiles, for which purpose it is fastened, for example, by means of retaining screws inserted into the lateral end faces of the frame profiles and screwed into the lateral end faces of the horizontally extending rung profile.
This rung profile is usually located in the lower frame area, it inevitably runs parallel to the horizontal horizontal frame profile and is a short distance from this, for example, the upper edge of the lower frame profile and the lower edge of the rung profile at a distance of about 5 to 15 cm to each other. The large, free frame section is usually filled in with known front doors or insect protection doors with an insect protection fabric, which is fixed via a piping in a corresponding circumferential groove, which runs in the upper horizontal frame profile and the two vertical frame profiles and, continuously, also in the rung profile , The piping is pressed into this piping groove, which is used to fix the fabric. In order not to additionally have to infill the lower area between the rung profile and the lower horizontal frame profile in this way via a second such infill, but at the same time to give the frame additional stability and in this area also provide kick protection against accidental treading To offer the foot when opening the door, it is customary to fan out this narrower area with a step protection plate, which, like the frame profiles and the rung profile, is also made of metal, usually aluminum. This step protection plate, sometimes also called step protection plate, is a narrow, flat plate or sheet metal component that is fixed at least on the one hand on the rung profile and on the other hand on the lower frame profile. For this purpose, corresponding insertion grooves are provided on the respective profiles, which are directed towards one another in the mounting position and into which the step protection plate or the step protection plate is inserted. When all rung profiles are firmly connected, it is then captively attached.
Although a very handsome front door can be produced in this way, this design is in need of improvement for several reasons. On the one hand, the assembly is more complex because the step protection plate must be manually attached to both the rung profile and the lower frame profile. If, for example, the groove engagement is provided on both sides, the step protection plate has to be inserted into the corresponding grooves, which is sometimes difficult since the step protection plate is accommodated in the groove with minimal play, if not slightly jamming. Another problem arises in the course of the production of the components, in particular since they are usually coated, mostly powder-coated. While the rung profile is a three-dimensional hollow profile which, due to its specific cross-sectional geometry, has sufficient stability and can therefore also be processed as a long bar, for example with a length of 6 m, as an extruded profile as part of the coating, this is the case with Kick plate not possible. As described, this consists, for example, of a very thin sheet with a sheet thickness in the range of approximately 1 mm. This thin-walled sheet is difficult to process and handle in a suitable length because it bends easily. For this reason, the step protection plate can only be handled and coated in much shorter lengths.
The invention is based on the problem of specifying an improved front door.
To solve this problem it is provided according to the invention in a front door of the type mentioned that the step protection plate is integrally formed in an extension of a side wall of the rung profile on the rung profile and overlaps the lower frame profile laterally in sections.
According to the rung profile is integrally connected to the step protection plate, which means that the step protection plate is formed as an integral part of the rung profile. It is formed in a flat extension of a flat side wall of the rung profile. Since, as described, the rung profile is usually a metal profile, usually made of aluminum, the novel rung profile with molded step protection plate is therefore also a one-piece metal extrusion profile, preferably an aluminum extrusion profile. In the assembled position, the step protection plate or the step protection plate extends laterally offset from the rung profile to the lower frame profile to the center plane of the frame, after the rung profile and the frame profiles usually have the same width. This means that it runs in an outer frame level or parallel to it. It extends as described to the lower frame profile, and encompasses it laterally in sections, that is to say that, seen horizontally, the bottom plate of the step protection plate runs parallel or adjacent to the lower frame profile, overlapping it in sections. Since the step protection plate is made in one piece with the rung profile, and is therefore firmly connected to it, and since the rung profile is firmly connected to the vertical frame profiles
CH 714 950 B1, it is not absolutely necessary to attach the step protection plate to the lower frame profile, but the step protection plate can also be fixed to the lower frame profile, which is easily possible due to the lateral overlap.
The inventive design of the rung profile with the integrally molded step protection plate is particularly advantageous for several reasons. On the one hand, the assembly is significantly simplified since only the rung profile equipped with the step protection plate has to be installed, that is to say that the step protection plate as a separate component cannot be handled and installed separately, as in the prior art. If the step protection plate is attached to the lower frame profile, there is consequently only one attachment point, but not, as in the prior art, two separate attachment points.
In addition, the production is significantly easier, especially with regard to the coating process. On the one hand, it is easily possible to produce the rung profile according to the invention with an integrally formed step protection plate as an extruded profile and also to handle it in a corresponding length of, for example, 6 m or similar. Because due to the one-piece design and the fact that the rung profile has a three-dimensional cross-sectional geometry in the form of a hollow profile with keder grooves formed on one or both sides, it is already sufficiently stable as such; this stability is also provided with the step protection plate shaped like a flag. This means that the rung profile with molded step protection plate can also be produced as an extruded profile in great length, for example of 6 m. Handling in the case of a coating is also easy, since this combination component can be brought into the coating device as a long component and a simultaneous coating of the rung profile and step protection plate is possible. The processing of separate components, in addition in different lengths, is no longer necessary with particular advantage.
Furthermore, it is possible in a simple manner to cut corresponding required lengths from the rung profile according to the invention with molded-on step protection plate, in a single step. This means that cutting a separate rung profile and a separate step protection plate can also be omitted.
Overall, the front door according to the invention or the rung profile designed according to the invention with the step protection plate offers a number of advantages over previously known front doors.
As described, the kick protection plate is preferably fixed to the lower frame profile. This can be done in different ways. A simple fixation of the lower edge of the step protection plate in a corresponding, upwardly open groove of the lower frame profile is also particularly preferred here, that is to say that the step edge of the step protection plate, which ends flat, engages in a frame profile groove with its free edge. As a result, only the step protection edge has to be inserted into the groove during assembly, after which the rung profile can be attached or screwed to the vertical frame profiles immediately. As an alternative to this tongue and groove connection, it is also conceivable to use separate fastening elements such as, for example, horizontal retaining screws, by means of which the step protection plate which crosses over the lower frame profile is screwed to the frame profile.
Although a fixation of the step protection plate on the lower frame profile is sufficient for a stable frame design, especially since the frame stability is increased anyway due to the one-piece construction of the step profile and step protection plate, it is conceivable according to an expedient development of the invention that the step protection plate protrudes laterally beyond the step profile and is fixed to the two vertical frame profiles. There is therefore also a fixation or connection of the kick protection plate and frame profile in the area of the vertical frame profiles according to this alternative of the invention, wherein a tongue and groove connection is preferably also provided here. Because it is advisable to use the fact that the step protection plate is a flat, thin element that can easily engage with its flat, tapering side edges in a corresponding groove formed on the respective vertical frame profile. The step protection plate or the step protection plate can also be easily inserted into this groove during assembly.
To make this possible, as described, the step protection plate is slightly laterally beyond the rung profile, so that a lateral overlap of the vertical frame profiles is also possible in this area by the protruding step protection plate end. For this purpose, the step protection plate is 1 to 2 cm beyond the rung profile, depending on where the corresponding groove is formed or formed on the vertical frame profile. This protrusion can easily be formed by partially removing the rung profile in the edge area, which means that, for example, the rung profile is partially removed at the edge by milling, so that only the rung profile side wall, which extends the step protection plate or the step protection plate, remains. This removal can be done easily by running over it once with a milling cutter or similar.
Preferably, the step protection plate has a thickness corresponding to the wall thickness of the elongated rung profile wall, so that there is consequently a homogeneous transition from the rung profile wall to the step protection plate.
The molded step protection plate should protrude from the rung profile at least 5 cm and at most 50 cm. This makes it possible to easily close a corresponding distance between the rung profile and the lower frame profile. In the event that the rung profile is fastened at a varying distance relative to the lower frame profile, it is easily possible with a correspondingly long protruding step protection plate to the required
CH 714 950 B1
To shorten the distance, which is also possible by simply separating, for example, canceling a corresponding step protection plate strip.
As described, the frame profiles and / or the rung profile including the step protection plate are expediently metal extruded profiles, in particular aluminum extrusion profiles, it being noted that the one-piece combination component made of step profile and step protection plate can also be easily produced by such an extrusion process.
In addition to the front door, the invention further relates to a rung profile for a front door of the type described above. This rung profile is characterized in that a step protection plate is integrally formed in an extension of a side wall of the rung profile. As stated, the rung profile itself is designed as a hollow profile or hollow chamber profile, which usually has a hollow chamber which is closed by two side walls and two end walls, a keder groove adjoining the hollow chamber on at least one side via corresponding wall sections. According to the invention, one of these side walls running vertically in the assembly position is now extended with the integrally molded step protection plate, so that overall there is a one-piece component consisting of rung profile and molded step protection plate.
Preferably, the step protection plate can also protrude laterally over the rung profile, so that a narrow edge is not only given at the lower end of the flag-like, flat and constant thickness step protection plate, which can be inserted into a corresponding groove of a frame profile during assembly , but also on the two side edges that run vertically in the assembly position, so that these side edges can be inserted into a corresponding groove of the vertically extending frame profiles of a front door frame in the assembly position and fixed there.
The step protection plate should expediently have a thickness which corresponds to the wall thickness of the elongated wall profile wall.
Furthermore, the molded step protection plate should protrude from the rung profile at least 5 cm or at least 50 cm.
Finally, the rung profile including the step protection plate is expediently a metal extruded profile, in particular an aluminum extruded profile.

Fig. 7 is a partial view corresponding to FIG. 4 with the mounted rung profile, and
Fig. 8 shows the view of Fig. 7 from the other side.
Fig. 1 shows a front door 1, here in the form of an insect screen, comprising four frame profiles 2, 3, 4, 5 connected to a rectangular shape, and a rung profile 6 connecting the two vertical frame profiles 3 and 5. The rung profile 6 divides the Frame of the front door 1 in two areas, the upper area being filled with a fabric 7, which has a piping which, in a manner known per se, in a circumferential groove on the frame profiles 2, 3, 4, 5 and the rung profile 6 is formed, the tissue is inserted jamming therein, is fixed.
The area below the rung profile 6 is filled with a step protection plate 8, which, as will be discussed below, is integrally formed on the rung profile 6.
2 and 3 show a rung profile 6 according to the invention with a step protection plate integrally molded thereon
8. The rung profile 6 is a hollow chamber profile, it has a central hollow chamber 9, optionally also a lower hollow chamber 10, stiffening ribs 11 being provided in the interior. The side wall 12 of the rung profile 6 shown on the left in FIG. 2 is of elongated design, the elongated section 13 merges into a transverse section 14, so that the welt groove 15 already described, in which the fabric 7 is fixed with the welt, is formed.
CH 714 950 B1 The side wall 16 running parallel to the side wall 12 is, according to the invention, formed in one piece with the step protection plate 8, that is to say that the side wall 16 is ultimately extended to form the step protection plate 8. The result is a one-piece extruded component, usually made of aluminum, which comprises both the rung profile 6 and the step protection plate 8 and is correspondingly simple to manufacture and in particular to handle and assemble.
Obviously, the thickness of the step protection plate 8 corresponds to the thickness of the side wall 16. The step protection plate 8 is also flat and runs into a narrow edge 17, which will be discussed below.
Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of a rung profile 6 according to the invention with molded-on step protection plate 8. The step profile 6 is worn away on both sides to a certain extent, for example milled, in order to lengthen or expose the side edges 18 of the step protection plate 8, that is to say that the narrow side edges 18 extend over the entire height of the step protection plate 8 together with the rung profile 6, which makes it possible to also use these side walls to fix the step protection plate 8 to the frame profiles.
Fig. 4 shows a perspective partial view of a section of the frame of the front door 1. Shown, for example, the vertical frame profile 3, which is mitred to the lower horizontal frame profile 4 with corner connectors, not shown, in a known manner, in particular pressed, is. On the vertical frame profile 3, two transverse fastening bores 19 are formed, which on the one hand pass through the hollow chamber section of the frame profile 3, which is not shown in detail here, but on the other hand also the leg 20 which delimits the welt groove 21. Corresponding connecting screws are passed through these bores 19, which are screwed into the central hollow chamber 9 and optionally also into the lower hollow chamber 10 of the rung profile 6 in order to fix them to the vertical frame profile 3. The opposite frame profile 5, to which the rung profile 6 is fastened in the same way, is also designed accordingly.
Furthermore, the vertical frame profile 3 (the same applies to the vertical frame profile 5) has a groove 22 which is open to the inside of the frame and into which, as will be discussed below, the step protection plate 8 is inserted with its side edge 18.
The frame profile 4 also has a hollow chamber 23, it being noted that the frame profiles 2, 3, 4 and 5 are all formed from identical profiles. This means that the cross-sectional geometry of the frame profile 4 shown in FIG. 4 shows the cross-sectional geometry of the frame profiles 2, 3 and 5 in a corresponding manner.
For this reason, a corresponding, to the interior of the frame open groove 24 is inevitably provided on the lower frame profile, in which the lower edge 17 of the kick plate 8 is inserted, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. FIG. 5 shows the view from FIG. 4 from the other side.
In the course of assembly, the edge 17 of the step protection plate 8 is inserted into the groove 24 as described, that is to say that, as in particular the sectional view according to FIG. 6, the step protection plate 8 overlaps the lower frame profile 4 in sections, so that So there is an overlap area and there is a clean transition.
4 and 5 are views showing the arrangement before the final frame assembly, that is when all frame profiles 2, 3, 4, 5 and the rung profile 6 are not yet firmly connected. 7 and 8 show the frame of the front door 1 in the final assembly position. In this, the rung profile 6 is firmly screwed to the vertical frame profiles 3 and 5 with corresponding connecting screws. At the same time, the side edges 18 are inserted into the corresponding grooves 22 of the two frame profiles 3 and 5, as is the side edge 17 in the groove 24 of the lower frame profile 4. This means that in the assembly position the step protection plate 8 overlaps both the lower frame profile 4 and the two vertical frame profiles 3 and 5 in sections, so that the groove engagement can be implemented. This lateral groove engagement is possible due to the removal of a part of the rung profile 6, as shown and described in FIG. 3.
In the final assembly position, there is a flat design on the side shown in FIG. 7 after the step protection plate 8 is integrally formed in the extension of the side wall 16 and there is no edge or crack in this area. The step protection plate 8 consequently runs in or parallel to the outer frame plane, that is to say it runs laterally offset to the vertical center plane of the frame.
8, where it can be seen that there is a recess 25 on the opposite side, which can also be used, for example, for foot actuation of the door to open. The front door 1 can be designed as a simple revolving door, as a swing door or as a sliding door. For example, the user can press the foot against the step protection plate 8 to open the door when his hands are not free, and there is also the option on the side shown in FIG. 8, for example in the case of a sliding door, the front door 1 with the To push foot because he can engage with the foot in the recess 25 or find resistance there.
Although in the described embodiments the step protection plate 8 protrudes laterally over the rung profile so that the side edges 18 can also be inserted into corresponding grooves 22 and fixed there, this is not absolutely necessary. Rather, it is sufficient if only the lower edge 17 is fixed in the groove 24 of the lower frame profile 4. In this case, the step protection plate 8 would then not protrude on the side edges of the rung profile 6 and would run parallel to the inner sides of the vertical frame profiles 3 and 5.
CH 714 950 B1 If the frame profile 4, possibly also the frame profiles 3 and 5, do not have corresponding grooves 24 or 22, then a different fastening of the step protection plate 8 to the lower frame profile 4, if appropriate also to the side frame profiles 3 and 5, possible. Because due to the overlap or overlap of the step protection plate 8 in sections over at least the lower frame profile 4, the fixation can also take place, for example, via horizontally extending connecting screws, that is to say that the step protection plate 8 is screwed onto the lower frame profile 4. The two vertical frame profiles 3 and 5 also overlap or overlap the sides of the step protection plate 8 in sections, so that instead of the groove fixing, they can be fastened by means of horizontally screwed connecting screws.
